Every person is born with a gift and some with multiple gifts, use them or they just may be…
I felt a strong rebuke from the Lord concerning gifts unattended. We may not realize that we all were sent here with gifts that were intended to be nurtured and used to edify the body of Christ. Some of us refer to gifts as talents, abilities or even calls. Those of us that are called, have to recognize the voice of the caller to respond correctly. If and when we realize the call, believe me there is a “Response Necessary.”
After we have come to the knowledge of who God is in our lives, he will reveal to us our gifts if we haven’t already discovered most of them.
Romans 11:29
9For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
You see our gifts are not based on salvation, but our salvation will lead us to use the gifts to glorify God. When the Lord takes inventory of the production of gifts distributed, inactivity will be reprimanded. Imagine giving someone gifts they never opened.
When we also realize that the text refers to money. Our gifts and talents will eventually when nurtured in the Lord lead to money. The Lord wants us to know that he rewards productivity, but the punishment for not doing what was expected of us from the Lord is that the gift could be Taken!
Matthew 25:14-28 (click to read complete passage)
14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey…
Some that seem multitalented, are most likely those that the Lord distributed unused gifts to. Jealousy is a waist, all we have to do is just acknowledge the Lord and ask for our own gifts to be manifested and then move in them. Success will not be hindered when glorifying God is our first priority and God knows what our true intentions are.
