Jesus life consisted of life, love and suffering. He lived his life as an example to show us how it’s done. He loved unconditionally and he suffered the ultimate death to free us from the guilt of sin. Our suffering will not consist of the level of suffering he endured, however will must suffer! Pride is the death we fight. Self wants to be in control but the spirit wants to submit to the will of God, not our spirit; the Holy Spirit! If we say we belong to God and have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior then it’s the Holy Spirit we must allow to lead!
Once we accept not only salvation but the great commission we will find that making a profound stand is a must. It is that stand that may open the door to persecution. Persecution because righteousness always puts a light on sin and just as they hated Christ for that very reason we must prepare ourselves to deal with somewhat the same!
